You’ll also get a chance to mingle with the pros while viewing the race start of 18th stage in Briancon. Highlights of this exclusive tour include cycling along Lake Bourget, and the spa lakeside village of Aix Les Bains and through the Savoie and picturesque Vanoise Nature Park region of the French Alpes.You will have overnight stay in Aix les Bains and multiple nights in Les Deux Alpes. Ride at your own pace over epic routes that include the Col de la Sarenne , L’Alpe D’Huez, Col du Telegraphe, Col du Lautaret and the Galibier! Plus many more!! You’ll cycle from hotel to hotel with minimal van transfers associated with following the Tour de France. Feel the energy and emotion of the TDF as Froome, Contador, Nibali and the up and coming contention of young French pros – fill your soul in this famous battleground of the world’s greatest cyclists!

Daily Itinerary

July 14th: Depart the USA for France.
July 15th: Arrive in Geneva. Airport pickup and deluxe hotel check-in. Our mechanics would be happy to help you unpack your bike or set-up your rental bike for an afternoon warm-up spin along Lake Geneva and the local vineyards. Meet your fellow guests at tonight’s “Welcome Meeting/Dinner Party”.
July 16th: After breakfast and a short transfer we’ll start our  cycling journey with a ride past vibrant sunflower fields and vineyards on our way through the Rhone River Valley to the picturesque lakeside town of Aix-les-Bains. Stroll the cobbled streets of ‘Old Town’ before dinner at a charming outdoor cafe.
July 17th: After breakfast and a short a.m. van transfer we’ll spin up the Val d’Maurienne before taking on the Col du Telegraphe on our way up to majestic Col du Galibier! We will be riding on race route today two days ahead of the race. After lunch at the top of Col du Lautaret, a long thrilling descent and final push to up to mountain top village of Les Deux Alpes! It’s an epic day for the climbers. We’ll enjoy four nights at a deluxe chalet in this charming ski resort village which is set in the shadows of a glacier. Our group dinner tonight will include local Savoyard specialties and fine wine from the region.
July 18th: Wake up to the smell of homemade pastries. Open day to ride. Today’s route is epic- following past TDF routes over the famous L’Alpe D’Huez and its  historic 21 switchback turns. Rest your legs, get a photo at the podium and have lunch at the top before continuing your day’s ride up to the top of Col De La Sarenne, enjoy the raw view at the top before plunging down the fast & technical descent to Lac du Chambon. The final push back to our hotel is the climb up to Les Deux Alpes. Group meeting. Open night for dinner.
July 19th: Open day for live race viewing.An epic mountain stage this afternoon.Today’s ride takes you onto the official race route as you challenge the historic south side of Col du Galibier . Pick your spot on the climb – cheer on your favorite pro and witness the racers struggle one by one over the top. After race goes by you’ll have an option to cycle back to hotel or take van shuttle to the top of Les Deux Alpes from a pre-designated pick up spot . Group dinner.
July 20th: After a delicious breakfast of freshly made croissants we will have a short  van transfer to the “Departure Village” in the town of Briancon. The starting “DepartureVillage” offers you many opportunities as you can get up close to the riders, team staff and Tour Celebrities. Today is the day to do shop for any TDF souvenirs, gifts or get pictures and autographs with TDF riders. After race passes through you will have an option to van transfer back to the hotel or ride over the Cols du Lautaret back to our hotel. Group dinner.
July 21st: After breakfast and hotel check out, our final ride takes us over Col du Glandon with an side option to do Col de la Croix Fer. Check your break pads at the top one last time as your tour ends with a 20+ km screaming descent to La Chambre. Van transfer to our base hotel in Geneva area.  Breakdown/pack  bikes. We will provide early evening Geneva airport van shuttles. We also offer OPTIONAL hotel reservations for tonight at out base hotel in Divonne Les Bains if you need to fly home tomorrow.
July 22nd: Airport transfers in the morning.
