Trip Highlights

Cycle from skyline through the beautiful Santa Cruz mountains cruising along Big Basin leading to Pacific Coast Highway via Bonny Doon. Over to Monterey and Big Sur biking through the famous 17-mile drive, home of the beautiful Pebble Beach Golf course. Then to Morro Bay and Cambria, home of the famous Hearst Castle. Then along the coast to Santa Barbara via Pismo Beach.


Daily Itinerary

October 12th
Arrive to SJC Airport, Hotel Check in. Meet your Tour Leaders. Group meeting and GROUP DINNER.
October 13th
Today’s route you cycle Skyline to Santa Cruz on the Tour of California official race route riding through magnificent Santa Cruz mountains this beautiful route takes you through Big Basin Redwood National Park and it’s giant Redwood trees . After a twisty descent you come out on Pacific Coast Highway via Bonny Doon Road and cycle along the tranquil waters of the Pacific Ocean past the Lighthouse and famous Steamer Lane surf spot on your way to the hotel.
October 14th
Ride from Santa Cruz to Monterey area . Today’s route will take you through the surf city of Santa Cruz after which you wind your way through the fertile Salinas Valley farmlands quiet roads and along Pacific Coast on your way to city of coastal city of Monterey. Approximately 49 miles/ 3,500ft. Hotel Beach Resort OPEN NIGHT FOR DINNER IN CARMEL OR MONTEREY.
October 15th
Cycle from Monterey to Big Sur . The route starts from your hotel talking you through the historic Cannery Row in Monterey and the quiet little seaside town of Carmel . Cycle along the Pacific taking in the scenery of the world famous 17mile drive on your way to your hotel which is located in Phiffer State Park in Big Sur. Approximately 46 miles.
October 16th
Cycle Big Sur to Cambria Get your legs ready to cycle along one of the most beautiful costal stretches of pavement in the world . Today’s route is achallenging one – snaking it’s way along the dramatic drop off cliffs along the Pacific Ocean . Cycle by Ragged Point , Morro Bay and option to visit 1920‘s Hearst Castle on the route.
October 17th
Cycle Cambria to Pismo Beach Today you cycle through the California Central Valley wine region famous for its world class Pinot Noir wines . This route takes you , going from the Pacific Coast into the interior of the Central Coast wine country’s quiet country roads that wind their way back to the coast and the coastal town of Pismo Beach.
October 18th
Cycle Pismo Beach to the quint Dutch town of Solvang .Our last days ride starts at the Pacific Coast talking you out and back over the costal mountain range into the interior valley’s of Santa Barbara County. After Lunch, van transfer back to San Jose airport hotel about 2.5 hr drive. SJC airport transfers in the evening or if you choose to spend an OPTIONAL hotel.
