Daily Itinerary

July 8th: Depart the USA for France.
July 9th: Welcome to Nice! Airport pickup and then you’ll check-in to our local deluxe hotel. After our mechanics help you build your bike you can either relax by the pool or go into downtown Nice for great sightseeing or shopping. Join us at our “Welcome Meeting & Group Dinner” later this evening and meet your fellow guests and indulge in a meal of fine French cuisine & wine.
July 10th: A short van transfer takes us to the gateway to the amazing Gorges du Verdon. You’ll cycle through rock tunnels perched on the edges of a limestone canyon with views you simply won’t believe! Our hotel for the next two nights is in the 13th century town of Manosque.  Tonight’s group dinner will include a tasty menu made up of local Provençal specialties that are accompanied with a local Rose wine from the region.
July 11th: Choose between an easy riding loop past olive groves and sunflower fields or a longer route that goes into the Haute Provence countryside. Tonight you’ll explore the quaint cobbled streets of nearby medieval village Forcalquier.  Open night for dinner.
July 12th:  Ride through the verdant Vacluse region of Provence on our way to the medieval village of Sault which is situated on the border of a picturesque wooden plateau and is surrounded on all sides by fields of lavender. Sault also happens to be one of the 6 privileged villages sites in France chosen for protection by UNESCO due to the quality and beauty of the environment. Our hotel is located near lively cafes and quaint shops in a village that is set in the shadows of Mt.Ventoux. Tonights group dinner has the sunny local flavors of true provencal cuisine.
July 13th: After a petit-dejeuner of warm croissants and fresh fruit, you’ll ride a route through the scenic Côtes du Rhône vineyards on your way to taking on the Giant of Provence – Mount Ventoux! A day before the TDF race comes through. Our support vans and staff will be cheering you on every few kilometers!  Open night for dinner.
July 14th: Happy Bastille Day! Today is the monumental Mt. Ventoux stage. After an early breakfast, ride from our hotel and pick your prime viewing spot on the side of Giant of Provence. Experience first hand all of the TDF pre race festivities and get close and personal as the racers struggle one by one on making their way to the top on the slopes of the (in)famous Mt.Ventoux. After the race, share stories of your day with your fellow guests during our final “Farewell Group Dinner Party.”
July 15th: After breakfast and hotel check out, we will have a short transfer before our final riding day has us cycling along the turquoise waters of Lac Ste-Croix on our way to the ancient village of Villecroze.  After lunch a short afternoon van transfer brings us back to our Nice area hotel. Late afternoon airport or train station shuttles or you can stay an optional night and explore Nice.  Free Shuttle service tomorrow morning as well.
