Calling out all mountain goats…If you crave the adrenaline of an extreme & epic riding adventure, your search is over. Welcome to our 2018 Trans Alpes Challenge – This tour starts in Nice framed by the Mediterranean and the Maritime Alps. You will enjoy one of the most challenging cycling vacation in the world! Youʼll cycle the famous passes of the Northern & Southern French, Italian & Maritime Alps. Here is a partial list of the climbs: Aravis, Commet Roselend, Cols du Cayolle, Allos, Vars, LʼAlpe dʼHuez, Col du Sarenne, Les Deux Alpes, Col du Glandon, Col de la Croix de Fer, Col d’Izoard, Commet Roselend and Col de la Madeleine and others! Trip highlights include overnights in Les Saisies, Les Deux Alpes, and Barcelonnette area. We have designed the itinerary to include multiple nights stays so you can choose a short or long ride or maybe just recharge with a rest day and do some sightseeing – you go at your own pace. This is your chance to test yourself like never before with our legendary support backing you on every switchback!

Tour Itinerary

July 4th: Depart the USA for France.
July 5th: Nice airport pickup and shuttle to our deluxe hotel.Build bikes or finalizing your rental bike fit. Tonight you’ll meet your fellow guests at this evening’s “Welcome Meeting/Dinner Party”.
July 6th: After breakfast we will have a short transfer to our drop spot. Today you will ride Tout Sur Var to Le Sauze( Barcelonnette area) up to ski station of Varberg and over Col du Cayolle. (69mi/9000ft)
July 7th: After breakfast a today you will have a loop ride that consists of a three mountain pass day Cols de la Cayolle, Col des Champs, & Allos. (60-80mi/8,000ft-14,000ft)
July 8th: Hotel check out, You will ride from Barcelonnette to Serre Chevalier your two big challenges of the day are, cycling over Col de Vars and Col d’Izoard. (67mi/11,000ft.)
July 9th: Hotel check out, Today’s route takes us from Serre Chevalier to ski resort town of Les Deux Alpes over Lautaret with an out and back option for Col du Galibier. (46mi/7000ft.)
July 10th: After breakfast you will have a loop ride with options including the serpentine 21 switchbacks of infamous L’Alpe D’Huez plus Col du Sarenne & Les Deux Alpes. (55mi/8000ft.)
July 11th: Hotel check out. Today you will ride from Les Deux Alpes to La Lechere over Col du Glandon and Col de la Madeleine. (81mi/10,000ft.)
July 12th: Hotel check out. Today’s ride will take us from La Lechere to Les Saisies over Commet Roselend. (46mi/8300ft.)
July 13th: Hotel check out. Our final ride takes us from mountaintop village of Les Saisies to lakeside medieval lakeside town of Annecy over Col de Aravis and La Clusaz. (55mi/5000ft).
